So recently I discovered that baking chicken is loads of fun and a huge party success…This was more of a revelation after I ran out of food at a Farwell party last week…i had already marinated chicken drumsticks which I had bought on an impulse without knowing how I was going to cook them…but after all the food I had prepared (and believe me it was a lottt…) my guests were still hungry..So I popped the chicken legs into the oven and voila after 20 minutes we had amazing finger food ready and hot to eat…

After the enormous success of the chicken drumsticks..I decided I wanted to try and make chicken wings…i frolicked over to star bazaar to buy some chicken wings…and what I discovered was shocking!!!!Chicken wings are dirt cheap!!!So folks you are being reallllly ripped off at the restaurants!!!
I dragged my shopping trolley home…its amazing really cause star bazaar is right next to my house so I just take the whole thing home and my apartment security just returns the shopping trolley once a week…imagine the amount of fun kids have with that at home!!Anyhow I reached home and was just to excited to stop and look at a recipe so I decided to make my version of chicken…so I figured a little sweet and a little sour and lots of chili would work…and I got lucky…cause it turned out ok…my husband liked them!!But next time I will do the whole recipe thing…or not..: D…
Ingredients
6 chicken wings
Tomato puree-3/4 cup
Brown sugar-1/2 tablespoon
Honey-a drizzle of it
Salt-to taste
Chili flakes-to taste
Pepper-how much ever you can take! D
Dried Oregano-1 tsp
Cornflour-1/2 tablespoon
Olive oil-depends on your diet…i put in around one table spoon in marinade and another while baking.
  1. Mix all the ingredients other than chicken in a large bowl. Check the consistency and taste and adjust it according to your preference
  2. Add the chicken wings and coat them well with the marinade and leave them overnight in the fridge…1 or two hours will also do the trick.
  3. Prepare a baking dish and arrange the chicken wings. Drizzle olive oil over it.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes.
Here you go…your party food is ready!!!
