As pointed out by my gym instructor and the weighing machine I have put on approximately 3 kgs..Weather I attribute it to my blissful wonderful new marital life or to my food blog is up to me!:D..So I have decided to work out like crazy and in fact I have just come home after finishing a strenuous RPM class where I have burnt approximately 700 calories!(wooohooooo me!!).I decided this is the time when I should try a new kind of salad which every diet guru could swear by!
It has the goodness of figs and fiber from the lettuce and asparagus with vinaigrette dressing .if this doesn’t get me thin then I dunno what will!!
Ok I get it….I have to have something like this every day…also the blueberry pie that I am making is kinda antithesis of this..But at least I am trying!!!
Few leaves of Iceberg Lettuce
Few leaves of Red Chicory
2 figs-cut into 4 pieces
3 pieces of baby corn
6 stems of asparagus
1 tablespoon of vinaigrette dressing
- Cut asparagus and baby corn into 1 inch pieces.
- Steam or Boil asparagus and baby corn. Let them come to room temperature.
- Tear the lettuce and chicory leaves. Add the figs
- Mix all the veggies with the vinaigrette dressing and serve.
